Who was Melchizedek?

Who was Melchizedek?

Who was Melchizedek and what was his significance? What is the “order of the Son of God?” What are the “threads of the Garments of the Priesthood” and what do they represent? Today we will look at these questions and more.

Who was Melchizedek?

Melchizedek is identified as a High Priest of the order of the Son of God and the king of Salem, a king of peace. His people wrought righteousness and obtained heaven, seeking the city of Enoch. Melchizedek blessed Abram with the secret wisdoms of Adam and Enoch, which he was to guard until the last days. He claimed lineage from Shem and was known as the king of heaven upon the Earth. Melchizedek desired to be taken up into the city of Enoch with his people and left teachings for those who would come after. He possessed a deep love for the City of Enoch, describing its heavenly origins and ultimate return to Earth in the end times.

The Order of the Son of God

The “order of the Son of God” is presented as a divine covenant YHVH made with Enoch. This is an order not originating from human will or lineage but directly from YHVH Elohim. It is delivered through the voice of Ruach Elohim (the Spirit of God) to those who believe on HaShem (The Name). Those ordained after this order, possessing faith, are granted extraordinary powers to influence the physical and spiritual realms, including the ability to break mountains, divide seas, stand in the presence of YHVH, and subdue principalities and powers, all according to God’s will. Men and women who have this faith and come up unto this order of God were translated and taken up into heaven, exemplified by Enoch and the people of Salem.

The City of Enoch

The City of Enoch is depicted as a heavenly city, taken up by Elohim and separated from the earth, reserved for the latter days or the end of the world. It is described as having Avinu (our Father) of knowledge for a Father and the wisdom of the Tree of Life for a mother. The city was carried by the air and is associated with the highest perfection of celestial powers, which its inhabitants will attain when it is returned to Earth in the end times. Melchizedek and his people desired to be taken up into this city.

The nature of God

YHVH is presented as the Creator of All Things, El Elyon, who is One, Unity, and Eternal. YHVH is not made by human hands, is never unchanging (not stagnant) nor ending, and is omnipotent and omnipresent, making the Torah and binding all things. Wisdom was the instrument of creation. YHVH is also described as Chesed (mercy), from whom all things are eternally regenerated according to the mercies of Alohykm. Love is identified as the root of YHVH’s commandments and the secret of YHVH.

The Torah’s Connection to Mankind

The Torah of YHVH is presented as divine instruction given to each generation, starting with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. It was recited to them by the angel of YHVH and Raphael. The Torah is described as a parable, a secret or mystery understood by the soul awakened by the breath of Alohykm (Ruach HaKodesh). Different aspects of the Torah are highlighted, such as the Torah of Adam (the tree of life), the Torah of Noah (unity of mankind in mercy), and the Torah of Melchizedek (circumcision of the heart, love). Angels often serve as messengers in conveying the Torah and its significance.

The Threads of the Garments of the Priesthood

The text describes eight threads of the Garments of the Priesthood, each corresponding to a part of the body:

  1. Ears
  2. Eyes
  3. Nose
  4. Mouth
  5. Neck
  6. Hands
  7. Loins
  8. Feet

Each carries a specific injunction related to righteous living and service to YHVH. These threads emphasize sensory perception, communication, physical actions, procreation, and movement, all to be aligned with divine will and truth. They serve as a guide for moral and spiritual conduct for those in the priesthood.

The Secrets of the Text

There are three secrets that hide within the Torah: the glory of YHVH (the first secret and the beginning of wisdom), the secret of the path, the secret of beginnings, and the secret of the Torah of YHVH. These secrets of Alohykm should be revealed only to those who serve YHVH, although a time will come when all shall know these mysteries. The greatest secret is to glorify YHVH and let Ruach HaKodesh dwell in one’s temple (heart).

The “Ultimate Goal”

The ultimate goal is to return to YHVH, the Creator, and to attain a state of perfection and unity with the divine. This involves living according to the Torah, circumcising the heart, seeking wisdom and knowledge, loving YHVH and one’s neighbor, and overcoming the desires of the flesh. Through faith and obedience, individuals can ascend to higher spiritual realms, potentially even to the City of Enoch, and ultimately experience resurrection and eternal life in the presence of YHVH. The establishment of Zion on Earth is also mentioned as a future event tied to mankind embracing the Torah.
